What's new in v1.302 (since v1.220)
- The About XenoDream X dialog now shows the registered user (if not a trial version.)
- Deleting a non-empty preset category now works for all preset types (previously only worked for gradient presets.)
- Numeric controls for Metamorph parameters or 3D Texture pattern parameters without decimal places no longer allow typing a decimal point.
Objects room
- Added Pinwheel metamorph in the Grid/Block category.
- In the Frame constructor, added seven parameters and more patterns.
- In the Cp Ringstar metamorph, added Facing parameter, and improved importing Kalix/y/z from XD parameter files.

- Fixed a bug in Gabor Noise and Gabor Noise3D metamorphs where the pattern differed between XDX sessions (also affected Gabor Rand noise pattern in textures.)
Light + Materials room
- In the Environment panel, added Environment Texture options for Environment Map and Camera View.
- Added an Environment Texture Editor.
- Fixed a bug with some material layer properties not being initialized, which could result in errors after New Project, for example.
- Fixed a bug where setting the Default tag other than Base material would cause an error when opening the Materials presets.
3D Texture editor
- All node control panels are now collapsed when not used by the texture.
- Added Contour, Perlin Polar, Pinwheel, Hills Cylinder and Waveform noise patterns.
- In the Hexagons noise pattern, renamed Random Mix to Mix Amount and added Pattern parameter.
- In the Cell 2D Z and Cell Tile 2D Z noise patterns, added Cross and Star options to the Metric parameter.
- Renamed Polar Map turbulence pattern to Mapping and added Cube XY 1 and 2, to map the XY plane onto each face, with two choices of symmetry.
- Added Perlin Polar turbulence pattern.
- In the Wave turbulence pattern, added Cubic Saw and Smooth Saw options to the Shape parameter.
- In the Cell 2D turbulence pattern, added Cross and Star options to the Metric parameter.
- In the 3D Texture presets dialog, added a button to export as environment textures.
Picture room
- Fixed a bug since v1.010 where rendering without having opened the Light+Materials room caused an error that needed a restart.
Mesh Export room
- Changed the STL size specification to be mm/unit, where holon scale or position 100 is one unit. When volume data has been generated, the estimated dimensions in mm are shown.
What's new in v1.220 (since v1.210)
- Fixed a bug where preset, image, mesh and point cloud files would not open if the file extension was in upper case.
Objects room
- The Preview pane now draws XYZ axes and a 10x10 ground plane grid for orthographic or perspective projection.
- Ctrl-dragging in the Holon pane now rotates selected holons in screen space.
- Added four metamorphs (SpiralBlade constructor, Paving Ax, Truchet 1 Ax, Truchet 2 Ax).
- Added Arc parameter to the Disc constructor.
- Added Pyramids and Pyramid Pos parameters to the Diagger metamorph.
Gradient presets
- Fixed bugs when importing Map files: the Gradient Category dialog would still import gradients if the Cancel button was clicked, and did not check for a blank category.
Light + Materials room
- The Background Stereo Image Type control now has options for Stereo Pair Cross and Stereo Pair Parallel.

Objects room
- Added five metamorphs (Cp Lissajous, Truchet1 & 2, Gyroidal, Wyrl).
- Added XZ Curve and three Taper parameters to the Sphere constructor.
- In the Image metamorph in the Special category, added six parameters (Keep Aspect option, and five parameters to allow displacement by intensity).
- The Image metamorph now uses holon colors instead of black when an image is not loaded.
- The Scene Camera Stereo option now automatically adjusts aspect ratio, so the H and V settings do not need to be changed.
Light + Materials room
- Added a Background Image Type control for stereo mode in the Backgrounds panel, with options Single Image and Stereo Pair.
3D Texture editor
- Added Truchet 1 and Truchet 2 noise patterns.
Picture room
- Added a Soft Shadow Quality control in the toolbar.

- Fixed a bug where opening a parameter file and disabling a shadow before generating did not stop the shadow from being generated.
Texture editor
- Added Cell Tile 2D to the Noise pattern list.
Picture room
- Increased quality of soft shadows for the full render.
